Design
The installation featured 32 volumetric LED modules suspended above the audience, creating an immersive visual and auditory experience. Custom-designed visual and audio assets were developed using a tailored AI model specifically created for the Dragon O2 system.
Designed as an interactive media performance exploring the journey of the self in an unknown world. Its story unfolds in four chapters, beginning with vulnerability and confusion, and ending in resilience and tranquillity.
Development
Leveraging OpenAI’s GPT API, the project featured an advanced AI system that translated the conference proceedings from Greek to English in real-time. The AI not only provided seamless translation but also analyzed the discussions and generated a detailed summary of the event through a custom-designed AI-generated voice.
Additionally, sentiment analysis of the entire conference was visualized as an abstract volumetric display, fully created by the AI, offering a unique and immersive representation of the event's overall emotion towards artificial intelligence.
The project was developed using wireless wearable MIDI controllers and Kinect motion sensors to capture and translate movement into real-time sound and visuals.
Feedback loops between Ableton Live and TouchDesigner enabled dynamic interaction, allowing the dancer's movements to continuously shape and be shaped by the audiovisual environment.
Concept
Invited by Grant Thornton for their marquee AI event - Future Unfold, LED Pulse was invited to present the future of AI in arts, demonstrating how AI is transforming artistic expression, from real-time interactive installations to immersive environments.
The presentation highlighted the potential of AI to not only augment creative processes but also redefine the ways in which audiences experience and engage with art in the digital age.
Response versus reaction.
Through sound and image the body traverses different emotional states. It acts and reacts to the media, while at the same time affecting the audiovisual scenery.
Through the feedback loop between each performer Bloomscapes aims to break the barrier between what is in our control and what is not.
